Dating online is nothing more than a „tool” for people to meet other people. Just like a fork is a tool which can be used to eat a garden salad or a slice of double fudge cake. It comes down to the individual’s (choices). For anyone to blame their bad dating experiences on online dating would be the equivalent to an overweight person blaming a fork or a spoon for their weight gain!
Each of us (chooses) our own friends, lovers, and spouse. We get to decide who we will spend our time with. It’s smart to use the same good commonsense when meeting strangers whether that is online or offline. You are responsible for (your) choices.
If someone keeps making bad choices for them self they need to examine (their) selection criteria. Odds are they are passing up on quality people to choose the ones opted for.
Who signs up for an online dating site? Every type of person one can imagine!
Just as offline dating has it’s share of people looking for a wide variety of things so it is with people online. Some are looking for love, marriage, companionship, casual sex, platonic chat buddies, and so on. The goal offline and online is to find those people who are looking for the same thing as you.
The people who are online go to grocery stores, beaches, parks, churches, restaurants, movies, malls, and every other thing one can imagine. The Internet did not invent liars and cheaters. It’s not where you meet but (whom) you meet that counts.
Having said that it pays to research online dating website before choosing one. They are not all the same. No one would say staying at a Motel 6 is the same as staying at a Ritz Carlton Hotel simply because both offer cable TV and beds! There are also niche online dating sites which highlight aspects which some people deem to be very important requirements for a prospective mate. Once again (you) are responsible for your choices.
